to achieve
a long-term and healthy physiological development as far as possible
Individual rehabilitation objectives are defined for each patient. After the initial neurological examination, which takes place on the first day of the day, the multidisciplinary team (doctors, physiotherapists, masseuses, speech therapists, nurses and other specialists) is formed in order to define sustainable improvement potential in the condition of the patient. Basically, 5-7 health professionals deal with each of our patients on a daily basis.
Each member of the multidisciplinary team must be able to explain their approach for every specific case – what will be done and what are the expectations for the outcome. The goals of the rehabilitation should be discussed and determined by the whole team (led by the attending physician), so that physiotherapists, manual therapists, speech therapists, nurses, massage therapists and other specialists follow a single plan of the rehabilitation.
In general, our aim of the rehabilitation is to allow every single patient to lead a normal a life as far as possible. Thus, the main rehabilitation goals set in the ADELI Medical Center are different for children and for adult patients.
a long-term and healthy physiological development as far as possible
(severe) disability in the future, in order to enable the child to live a normal life in the future
quality of life and independence
the patient into social and working life
These objectives are achieved by focusing on the improvement of the abilities to walk, speak, as well as self-care ability, which subsequently foster the independence of the patient, and also the independence of his/her family or care-givers.
For this purpose, the gross and fine motor skills, the speech and cognitive skills are intensively treated. The following therapy approaches are used during the treatment programmes:
